Update: Five Years later and this little guys is still going strong! Still very happy with this purchase. This scale has been a lifesaver!! I purchased this product mainly for my Etsy based business and for small amounts of personal use. I was shipping packages daily and waiting in line at the post office wasn't working for me. This product has an on/off switch so I can keep it plugged in. It comes with batteries and the ability to opperate on them but I prefer to use the AV jack. This could be useful for travel though and I'm happy it has the options. It's perfect for me because I mainly shipping small, lightweight objects. This scale is a great price and successfully gets the job done. Bottom line: this scale accurately weighs packages, great price, and compact. Would recommend!
