I use this Dry-Pack in my safe. The silica beads do turn green faster than I thought, which surprises me for the dry UTAH climate I am in, non the less, this gives me the added insurance that my items will be free from moisture. The only concern I have with this canister is its lightweight aluminum structure. The canister can get dented quite easily if squeezed or bumped. The instructions indicate that to re-charge the silica, you must put the entire canister in the oven at 300 degrees for a couple of hours. Beware! The instructions don't tell you to unscrew and remove the lid before recharging. If you don't do this, the the plastic window in the lid will melt, and the lid will get permanently sealed to the canister. Make sure you remove the lid before recharging!
