UPDATE as of 5/23/2022: Upgraded to a 5-star. The company reached out and clarified the issue. The model numbers on the WQA website do not fully reflect the suite of offerings of Waterdrop. E.g., "EWF-8016S" = "WD-10UA", but you only see the former model number on WQA, not the latter, even though they are the same thing. So, this product IS indeed NSF 42 and 372 certified, and the issue lies with WQA not being clear with their certifications. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I had submitted a previous review that Amazon took down because it included links to sources related to the NSF certifications. And now I don't have the original review to edit, so here's an abridged version of what I can remember: The company claims, as of 7/5/2021, that it is NSF 42 and 372 certified (by WQA). There is only evidence of the former, not the latter. So, we only know that this water filter can aesthetically filter out some contaminants (NSF 42), but even for components like lead (NSF 372), we just simply don't know. I've already returned my product, because when I contacted the company to clarify their position on NSF 372, they provided me a WQA link that did NOT list this filter as being certified. In terms of TDS meter, this filter had no impact. Obviously this only measures one particular aspect of purity, so I won't dwell too much on this. And regarding all these other reviews that claim this filter does wonders - it doesn't take much to filter out the ridiculous gunk you have in the water based on the pictures. But unless you can verifiably taste and identify lead, copper, and other contaminants, claims of "Oh my god this water is so clean!" holds no... water. There's a reason why lab tests exist. I gave a 2 star instead of 1 because the installation is pretty easy, and the instruction manual was well done.
