THIS WILL BE YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND!
OK, I have been somewhat dubious about sleeping bags in the past, and I really can't say that I have ever loved one before this. My son and I have done Cub/Boy Scouts (Pack 867 and Troop 281) for the past 6 years, and have gone on numerous camp outs. I am a bigger guy at 6'1" and while I am very athletic, I still weigh 240lbs. As such, standard sleeping bags are both 1) SHORT and 2) CONSTRICTING! The Teton XXL is neither of these. Furthermore, while it is very warm at and below freezing and surprisingly not a sauna at warmer temperatures. The night I bought it, I decided to 'try it out' in my house by setting it up on a sleeping pad in my living room. I turned on the TV, and the next thing I knew it was dawn and my wife was kicking me and asking why I didn't come to bed. Yes, slept in my 0deg bag in my 70deg living room, happier than in my bed. The bag also has a draw-string at the torso to keep things in check, as well as a pocket for phone, keys. Most interestingly, it also has what I like to call "the patio" - an extended edge that goes under your pillow. When packed, this bag is only slightly larger than my a standard (Coleman?) bag. The included pouch has compression straps that will help reduce it further. As for the picture: To quote Hitchhiker's Guide... "Always know where your towel is!"
