I think it is a great gift for that someone special in your life who appreciates real quality. (You may not be a professional, but you know quality when you use it.) I got one for my brother-in-law, then had to get one for myself. This is a item that can last a generation and with care, provide a lifetime of good service. 100% better than my Cutco knives, and thats saying something too.
