I wanted smooth, woven, lightweight cotton pajama pants. I could only find women's pajamas in flannel, knit, or fleece(!), mostly in cute novelty prints like kitties with santa hats and the like. These are plain cotton in, let's face it, consertvative prints of stripes and plaids. Which I like. I'm just above the upper height for "normal" women's sizes at 5' 8"; these are just a bit long on me, coming to about the bottom of my heel. Fine for me for sleeping but shorter people will want to shorten them up a bit. I was expecting to have to sew the fly shut, but actually the one button keeps it closed modestly. They also have pockets. Now I can't imagine what men keep in their pajama pockets, but since women aren't allowed to have pockets in just about anything (world domination threat, perhaps?) I feel honored to have them. They fit just fine and have a cinchable tie at the waist if you need it. They're not exotic or "sexy" but are great to sleep in, pad around the house in, and help keep your legs a bit warmer when letting the dog out one last time before bed.
