6 lights for under $40 is pretty good deal which is why I took the chance on these. I was prepared to eat the $40, but the lights exceeded my expectations. I installed these above entrances and our patio and they do the trick. I live in a very tropical climate with typhoons, torrential downpours on occasion, and scorching sun, so if they don't last long or blow off during a storm, I will update this review. I only use the instant bright 25 second motion setting (setting 3 I believe), and that's all I need. These are white colored so if you wanted something softer or yellowish, these would not do it for you. They come with a padded pre-sized 2 sided tape backing as well as anchors. I used both the anchor and the tape backing. I made sure they had access to sunlight in the location I installed them. They are small and do not detract from decor, and take minutes to install. 2 weeks after install we had a tropical storm with more rain than we've seen in 50 years (a LOT of rain), then the next week we got hit with a typhoon with 120mph wind gusts. All 5 lights I put up still work and remain attached to the house. I figure that's a pretty good test of their durability for now. As time progresses, I'll update this post.
