These are a lifesaver for me! I have sensory processing issues & get easily overwhelmed/overloaded in noisy environments. I keep these on a neck cord that I bought under a separate listing. They are always around my neck and hidden inside the top of my shirt. Whenever I get into a situation where there is too much noise, I am able to quickly put them in my ears because I always have them within reach. I also make sure I use them proactively before I walk into a store. It's so much more tolerable shopping now because I can tune out all the overwhelming noise. The nice thing is you can still hear if someone is talking to you (i.e. across the table in a noisy restaurant), but it knocks all the deafeningly loud background noise down tremendously I feel like these ear plugs have given me a bit of freedom back again.
