We have a very active 4 year old, and when we moved her out of her crib a year ago, we were most concerned about her tumbling out of bed at night. However, this bumper has been just what we needed. It's taller than expected, and while soft and squishy when pressed, it's also sturdy and doesn't easily move once properly positioned. During the day, our kids get on and off the bed hundreds of times, crawling and climbing all over this thing, and it doesn't seem to have any low spots or any places that are sagging. We have it on a queen sized bed, and it does NOT go the full length of the bed. There's probably 18" of open space between the end of the bumper and the end of the bed. It comes compressed, so don't expect to take it out of the box and use immediately. It has to be given time to expand.
