Comes ready to go. Usb pads work nicely. Get some usb extension cables if you plan on sitting further than 5 ft from the tv. Or get bluetooth pads {no luck connecting 8bitdo pads, but I was able to connect two dualshock 4 controllers} There are so many games... Trust me, if you are looking for a certain console game pre ps2/gamecube era, it's probably there. And the menus, layout by system, screensaver... Everything just screams attention to detail. (I love the screensaver.. It shows clips of random games, and shows the games title screen too so you can find it afterwards...) And you can add more games. I just added tecmo super bowl 2020. This machine has saved me the hassle of trying to have a little computer, mini console or my phone as my nostalgia machine and constantly having to fiddle with it. So worth the money! (Good customer service too. I erased my controller configs meaning the usb pads wouldn't work anymore, nor would the bluetooth 8bitdo. Completely my fault but of course I had no idea what I was doing. They answered my message quickly and were willing to help but I had it figured out finally)
