Excellent - has held up well to heavy use
Picked this up six months ago, right after bolting on a towing hitch to my 2013 Odyssey. As if I didn't have enough problems fighting off the women when I turned in my man card to buy a minivan, a tow hitch and rack has made my life a living hell of beating off infatuated swim suit models with a large, steal-reinforced stick.
Since purchasing this, I have used it to:
- Haul 3 large storage bins full of about 80-100 lbs of camping gear 800 miles to the beach and back
- Lug 2 adult bikes and 1 kids bike all over the place locally
- Haul fire wood, a christmas tree, a lion carcass that I killed with my bare hands, coolers, etc. all over within the glorious and glamorous state of Ohio
Zero complaints so far outside of scraping the ground when I pull out of my drive way (since my van has the ground clearance of your average skateboard), and even then, it has held up very well. It is indeed large and heavy, however after a number of attempts I have figured out how to mount it and remove it solo (though I'm a fairly strong individual).
For anyone hauling stuff in a vehicle that was built to haul cotton candy and pillows like mine was, make sure to check both the tongue weight and towing capacity of your vehicle before loading it down. I also recommend against strapping lawn chairs on it and telling your kids that it's a safe 4th row seat with a view - because kids are dumb and less durable than you'd expect.
