I really like this product a lot!! So we will start with the negative: 1. The unit is huge... I really don't understand why they can't shrink the unit down to the size of a smoke alarm, or something in this day in age. lol. Its an eyesore no matter where you put it. 2. Figuring out where to place it can be difficult because we would have too much room on the side (neighbor's yard,) then too much in front (on the street), then not enough ect ect. it was a process playing around with the location and settings. Positive: I have a cavalier king charles who is 2 years old. He is CRAZY and LOVES everyone and everything and can't control himself. he just has to run to people and animals and can't sit his little butt down around new people. He was never going to be allowed off leash because he's a runner. I wasn't sure this unit would work. He has significant training in general as my daughter trains him in obedience, agility, grooming for her dog club. However he still can't help but run to people. The first few days we showed him the flags with beep only and treats. then the next week we started on the training. He got shocked once and I felt terrible when he yelped and ran away. But we treated him and then after played fetch (which he LOVES). its been a week and a half and he doesn't try to leave the yard even when his "puppy friends" are outside across the street! This is huge!!! He never would have stayed in the yard if he saw them!!! I am amazed and thrilled that he can have some freedom now in his own yard to play and run and he wont run into the road. We are still in the training process but so far its going better than I ever expected!!!!!!
