My nails have always been pretty weak, ridged, and have peeled a lot. I have tried many products before, some more successful than others, and thought I would give this a try. It does work for nail growth, but there are a few things you should know. 1) It is pricey. $22 a bottle, and if used as directed, it only lasts 4-6 weeks 2) You can only use their products/colors in order for it to work properly, and they only have about 30 shades. I know that seems like a lot, but depending on your preferences, I pretty much guarantee you'll eliminate at least 10 of those. And if you're like me, and don't like to highlight short, ragged, unhealthy nails, there are not many light and/or neutral options 3) The "clear" strengthener is actually a very light blue tint, so if you use it consistently for a week or so (as directed), your nails will start to develop a blue tint that isn't all that appealing 4) The pictures on their website (and Amazon) are not necessarily true to color. It's very hard to know what color you're actually getting based on the photos 5) If you need to return an item that doesn't work for you, you have to pay return shipping. I did so recently and basically paid $10 shipping for an $18 refund 6) You must be patient and consistent. It took me about 3 months before I felt I was really making progress All that said, my nails split and peel less, have grown longer than they've ever been before, and my cuticles are less overgrown, softer, and healthier. Their products are vegan, 7-free, don't contain toxins or carcinogens commonly found in other nail brands and contain natural plant extracts like garlic and horsetail. However, as you may be able to see in the pictures, my nails are still very ridged, and if I stop using the product for more than a few days, they revert to their former condition. I have to wonder if they are actually any healthier, or just growing longer, and if I used another product with as much consistency as this, would I see the same results? There are a lot of factors that go into the health and strength of your nails, so perhaps the ridges are inevitable, it just makes me wonder how much healthier they actually are with this product versus any other strengthener. Bottom line, this does work, and you could definitely do a lot worse for the health of your nails. The biggest drawback for me is that I can only use their products which limits me color wise. I will probably do more research and try to find another plant-based strengthener that is not limited to only their product line...I imagine consistency is key with any product and I've definitely given this more of a chance than I have others, so the success could be coincidental.
