Not sure why but my larger cat likes to roll himself up in things as if he's a furry burrito. He also likes scratching low pile carpeting. With this he can do both! This is 2 separate, decently sized pieces of carpeting that easily accomodates both cats-only 1 piece has the cut outs and velcro attachments so you can shape it virtually however you, or your cat, prefer. It's made from recycled plastic bottles (as if it couldn't get any better) so the soft (& washable) material also acts as a heat retainer keeping kitties warm. It's easily foldable and comes in a resealable plastic bag for travel or storage. The bottom piece has "no-slip" backing to keep in place. (Note: SOME non-slip backings may possibly "yellow" vinyl floors/ linoleum). Received this today and tried a few configurations. At first both cats seemed curious but a little nervous of the velcro sound when I'd adjust it but then they started to explore, popping in and out of the holes, playfully poking at each other. And yes, this 25 pound marmalade angel fits quite well through the larger holes and likes popping his tiny head out like a periscope. Cats like having their own little space where they can feel secure and warm so this is perfect and can easily be moved from room to room. I'm always on the lookout for things that both cats can enjoy together. As you can see both he-and his much larger Golden sister-are already very comfortable in their little private hideaway. He's come out once but went right back in. I have a feeling he's going to be in there for a while. UPDATE: We've had this a few months now and it's still in full use by both cats & in pristine condition. No signs of wear/ tear. If they don't lay in it they'll lay on it, so must be something they like about the material. FINALLY got pics of smaller kitty playing in it. She's very rarely still enough.
