Okay, let me start by telling you I am a huge Keen fan and purchasing these made me nervous as I was skeptical about them in every way. Now I feel like it's funny I ever was! The styling is different but yet very versatile. I purchased the black and they go with just about anything. The back "heel" area material is somewhat like a wet suit, with a neoprene feel. This makes them very easy to to slip on and off. I'm not certain if they advertise these as being waterproof but I wore them for several days during the rainy season and had dry feet every day I wore them. They have an firm and supportive soul. It wasn't what I had imagined it would be but I'm very comfortable walking all day in them. I purchased these because I needed some new shoes.
