It's All Mine!
To put it simply, if you're looking for a fashionable backpack with great functionality, look no further. However, if you want to know more, let me break it down for you:
For starters, this bag is about 16" x 12.5", which is pretty standard, and perhaps on the smaller side. Being that its soft and doesn't keep one definitive form, these dimensions can vary slightly. It's made out of a canvas material and has leather accents throughout, which definitely gives it a more classier look. In terms of comfort, the shoulder straps and back are padded enough to where it feels good to wear, so no complaints in that department. Now that all of that is out of the way, lets dive a little deeper:
With this bag, you have 4 different compartments. Starting from the front, you have a pouch like compartment with two buckles that magnetically connect to keep it shut. The magnets are strong and definitely keep it closed, but not too strong and are easy to open. Upon investigating the pouch, it's rather surprising how deep and how much room there is. I attached a photo of a standard binder next to the pouch so you can see how much height we're dealing with. Basically though, I have a bigger sized gorillapod, a selfie stick, a bluetooth speaker, and a portable battery in there, and I have plenty more room. I'm only filling half of it up really. It's deep! There is, unfortunately, no pockets for storage or anything in this pouch, so use it for items you can throw together.
Next, we have a small zipper compartment right above the pouch. It's a moderately deep pocket, and can store a good amount of smaller items. I keep my wallet, keys and iPhone 6s Plus in there, and that makes it almost full. Nevertheless, that's a lot! It's a great little pocket for quick access items that you take in and out on the daily.
Moving on, we have 2 standard backpack compartments. The closer one looking towards the front of the bag has a few storage pockets that I'll talk about and you can see in the photos. On one side it has two open pockets, one smaller than the other, and these can fit small things like altoids and whatever. On the opposite side you have a zipper pocket, and its big enough to hold a lot of equally small items. I use this for items that I personally don't use on the daily, but need as a just in case. The entire compartment itself is big enough to hold your standard school items, like binders and notepads and such.
Lastly, the compartment closest to the back of the bag is your laptop compartment. It has a stretchy pouch thing specifically designed for a laptop or tablet. I have my 11" macbook air in there, but it's definitely big enough to fit a 13", and I'm pretty damn sure it's big enough to fit a 15". Then you also have amble space, just like the compartment before, to fit more school like items.
Oh, I almost forgot. There's two deep stretchy water holders on both sides of the bag, which is really cool because you normally only get one, if that. You can easily fit your normal 16.9 fl oz plastic water bottles that you get from the store, and you can also fit actual water bottles that are more on the thinner side. Really nice to have.
Now with all these pros, there has to be some cons right? Well yeah, there is, and it's pretty big unfortunately. The bag is near perfect besides the buckles that hold the length of the shoulder straps in place. For some reason, whoever designed this bag, decided to use really crappy ones that don't keep it at your desired length perfectly. Sometimes when putting on the bag, when theres not enough tension holding the buckles tight, it can move. When its on, however, the length won't change. I personally solved this by sewing the strap at my desired length at the top near the buckle, and also at the bottom so the strap wouldn't flop everywhere. You could also just make a knot on the strap itself to hold it there, but that can be ugly looking. So, its definitely a real bummer that this one issue wasn't taken care of.
And that's all folks. This bag is really, really awesome, besides that one con. If you can live with that, I fully recommend it. Actually, no! Don't buy it, because I want to be the only one who owns it :D
