Seems to work well. The unit in itself is NOT waterproof but they give you a little rubber gasket to put in between the male and female! Nonetheless, if you arrange parallel and level to the ground, most of the rain water will not enter. I use it for backyard outlet to bug killer. It appears to be the cheapest and most well made out of all the choices at amazon. CaUTION, THIS WILL not WATERPROOF YOUR plug connector. My advise would be to NOT immerse in water!
