Suction and Performance is Comparable to Dyson Stick Vacuum
I have a mix flooring of finished concrete and flat carpeting. I struggled with a cheap corded vacuum for a year and still had to go back over it with a broom and dustpan. I finally got this during the Prime Deals for $99. It was money well spent! I compared it to the Dyson stick vacuum.
Out of the box, everything was nicely packaged. The instructions are not clear, but there aren’t a lot of parts and pieces to mess with, so that didn’t bother me much. There’s no mention of how the 2-in-1 attachment works, so for those wondering how the brush and crevice tool work—there’s a circular spot you push in while pulling up or pulling down the brush to reveal the crevice tool or to use the brush. It’s pretty simple. The crevice tool got clogged pretty quickly on some dusty baseboards and from dust in the nooks and crannies I had trouble getting to with a broom. For this reason, I gave it 4 stars on suction when it really should be closer to 4.5 stars. It’s a minor inconvenience when using the crevice and brush tool only.
The noise is much quieter than my previous vacuum. My friend and I could have a normal volume conversation over it on the low-power setting. I didn’t feel like I was disruptive to anyone with the vacuum. When using the high-power setting, it was, of course, noisier, but still quieter than my corded Shark vacuum.
It comes with a “free gift” of a brush with a stab by-razor thing to free the hairs and thread around the brush head. Hooray, free gift! I have a lot of hair and between me and my dogs, we shed a lot.
I mounted it behind a door. The screws and mollies it comes with are not great, but they work so far. It took me 5 minutes to mount it. It’s simple if all you have are hammer and a screwdriver.
Overall, I felt this thing had really great suction power on the low-power mode for picking up bits of paper, sand, fur, hair, dust, dirt, and crumbs. I used high-power with the crevice tool around baseboards and in hard to reach spots. It even has a small light on the device I show in my photos. It was a dimly lit corner, so I pictured it on and off for something to compare it to. If this holds up for at least 4 years, I will feel it’s paid for itself and then some.
