At first, I didn't follow the directions and just put the holder directly on the shower wall. Not long after I hung a shower caddy from it everything fell into the tub. The second time I **actually read the directions.** This time I used a bathroom cleaner on the shower wall to remove any soap scum, rinsed and let dry the holder and its parts. Once everything was buffed and dry I hung the holder and tightened it again slightly a short time later. Then I hung the shower caddy from it. Waited a little longer before loading it with bottles and things. Its been hanging wonderfully ever since! Thank you. I like a shower caddy on the back wall of my shower not hanging from the spray nozzle, it makes the space seem neater to me. This hanger did exactly what I wanted it to do. EDIT: I bought/hung these 9/25/19 and its now 10/22/19, no mishaps. (except the first one ;) update: 12/19/19 no issues.
