The bed I ordered is a nice color (a soft gray) and the center bottom is a sturdy material, not likely to tear. It is surprisingly light and fluffy, so it can be carried easily from room to room if your dogs follow you around like mine do. One worry I had was that with the feathering, it would resemble a toy to my dogs and they'd want to play tug, but not one of my three has shown any interest in destroying it. Incidentally I had a problem with my order and I was very impressed with the customer service--the problem was solved in 24 hours. Overall an excellent buy!
