I needed a large skillet for frying large batches of Chickem parm or Shrimp Scampi. I had a Rival electric skillet that would not get hot enough, so the food would soak in grease too long, take forever to cook and cooked unevenly. I got frustrated, gave it away and looked on Amazon for a new option. I ended up with the Elite Platinum EG-6203 Skillet after reading many reviews and descriptions of all the options. This is big enough, lightweight for its size, heats up effectively and cleans up great! Love it! I think the fact that the heating element is built into the pan makes all the difference! My old one had a pan that sat on top of the heating element. I am so happy to finally have a large skillet that functions as I need it to! I do NOT put any of it in the dishwasher (by choice) so I can’t comment on that aspect. It’s a great product and it has been a pleasure to use. Storing room isn’t an issue for me (I keep it in a big drawer under my stovetop), but I can see that it could be a concern for some with its size. Otherwise, I highly recommended!!
