For Those who love Prismacolor and want to know the difference
So I spent some energy and time on this process because I know there are a lot of other people looking for decent color pencils but just don't want to loose the quality you've come to rely on from Prismacolor Pencils. That being said here's the pro's and con's list. Keep in mind I'm pencil picky and I color hard ...so I want clean bold colors. My pages look painted when I'm done. The price is amazing!! Soucolor is less expensive then crayola at this point...and the quality is insanely better. I love that there aren't 30 shades of brown and grey like there are in Prismacolor. More pinks and purples and blues. MOST of the pencils in the Soucolor set do have a small amount of resistance of wax you won't feel or see working with Prismacolor but it doesn't take away from the final look of the art I've done so far. 5/72 of the pencils were really bad. Incredibly waxy like coloring with a roseart crayon. Zoom in on my pic...I showed and listed the bad ones. I can't really see a "true" red in the set. The black is really good. The gold and silver are both metallic. OVERALL...worth 20 something bucks and actually very comparable to Prismacolor. The good densely out weights the bad!
