When I test and review culinary items, I am highly critical and meticulous in evaluating and rating them. My reviews are honest and unbiased. Good is good…bad is bad! Finding a toaster that handles breads of many kinds well is a challenge. It is with pleasure then, that I have the opportunity to positively review this exceptional and strongly performing one. One of the main favorable elements of this toaster is the extra wide slots that allow for toasting everything from regular bread, bagels, and thick slices of fresh-made breads. It does it equally well for any of those items. Second, the two sides are completely independent of each other and browning settings can be set specifically for one side or the other. The buttons include reheat, defrost, and cancel * Reheat is a programmed function to reheat cold bread or cold toast * Defrost works well for dethawing frozen bread or bagels * Cancel immediately stops the cooking on side chose and pops the contents up as it does when finishing normally. The browning settings range from 1-7. Out the gate the pictures of the results are generally accurate as the picture shows. That being said, after you have experimented with the settings, the results will always be the same for the particular browning level you set. The stainless steel construction is robust and well-made. The crump slide-outs operate smoothly and without issues. This is the perfect toaster for a family kitchen...and it is good enough for light use commercial kitchens as well. It's a FIVE STAR rating from me, along with an honest and enthusiastic recommendation. One of the best toasters under $100 I have ever used!
