It's nice that you can also get matching lunch bag and thermos. The size 12L backpack fits a regular full size folder. I got this for my 5yr old who is on the petite side but it fits her perfectly. Backpack is big enough for her daily school essentials (without the lunchbag inside). The shoulder straps have a thin padding. I wish it was a bit thicker but not a deal breaker. The exterior material feels a bit stiff and rigid but overall, seems durable. The interior pockets are nice but the one of the pocket seam already frayed and it's only been 2 months. Picture shows a standard size folder fitting perfectly inside the back pocket. However, it might be a tight fit for a standard size binder as it is more rigid than a folder. Also, I included pics of their Simple Modern Hadley kids lunch bag in size small fitting inside the 12L backpack in both horizontal and vertical. The side bottle pockets are a generous size and can fit the Simple Modern Insulated Jar easily.
