For 6 months, I've been on the hunt for replacements for my 10 year old VS online yoga pants. Since they no longer carry what I want, I've been going style by style on Amazon. In the process, I ended up refining the criteria for my perfect yoga pants. ~Bootcut - I wear these instead of jeans around the house or working home. ~Comfortable waistband - Some of these pants have super-tight elastic and 1" waistbands. Probably comfy if you're a super model. I'm not. ~Medium weight - Light weight is fine for summer but didn't seem last more than a few washings. Heavy weight won't work in triple digit summers. ~Long enough - I'm 5'7" with a 31" inseam. The Large has a 32" inseam ~Matte - I don't want shiny pants! ~Cotton/spandex - Cotton breathes. Too much spandex and it feels like the disco era has returned. ~Solid color - I can barely coordinate yoga pants and a t-shirt. Give me grey, black. navy and brown. Everything goes with those. ~Smell - I didn't realize this would be a criteria until several other company's pants had a heavy chemical smell that neither days in the sun nor vinegar bath could offset. ~Price - Sure, I can find all of the above for $50-60/pair. These are yoga pants to bum around the house or wear in a hotel room after a long work day. I've bought 4 pairs in every color!
