I recently used the 11 cu ft RoofBag on my 4-door 2009 Ford Focus Sedan without a roof rack for a cross-country trip totaling 3094 miles featuring: - Heavy downpours in Nebraska - Inclines, declines, and 75 mph hairpin turns through the Rockies in Colorado - 80+ mph flat sections through Utah - Intense heat and strong crosswinds and gusts through the Nevada desert The RoofBag was filled to capacity with bags of clothes and performed perfectly. It never shifted, loosened, or damaged. It was surprisingly quiet and easy to install securely. It was easy to clean and the zipper hooks were large enough to install a security lock. I was also surprised that the degradation in fuel efficiency was too small for me to notice, even across such long distances. I used the RoofBag in conjunction with the RoofBag Protective Mat for additional protection for the paint of my roof's car and against any shifting of the RoofBag. I have not used any other roof carriers before, but as an owner of a car without a roof rack, this was a less expensive alternative to purchasing and installing a roof rack and hard carrier. The RoofBag exceeded my expectations and is a solid purchase that I would recommend for those seeking similar solutions.
