Deep grooves matter in iPad stand.
Love it! I can work horizontally or vertically on my iPad. It provides good protection. I have figured out a way to hold it comfortably for videos and photos by putting my hand with fingers open through the opening at the back where the cover folds and letting the rest of it hang down. It's very stable, you won't drop it and it does not shake because you are not having to hold it way out away from your body.
I discovered one particular thing that does separate the Fintie from the other identical looking covers. I saw a woman at the car wash with an identical red cover like mine. I said "don't you love this cover" and she replied, "no!" I asked why and she showed me something very interesting. She said it won't stay up in the stand. The grooves on her cover for the iPad to stand in are very shallow and there's a shiny kinda silky fabric over them. There are 3 grooves, which is nice but she showed me when she stood the iPad in the grooves it slowly slid till it was out of the shallow groove.
The Fintie has deep grooves that are tightly covered in fabric. The iPad stays where you put it in either groove. There are only 2 grooves but I can push the iPad back where there is no groove and on a solid surface and it stands pretty well. I did notice shopping that there was a similar looking cover with a non-skid fabric in the stand/groove area but don't remember why i did not pick it. I think the most import thing is the deep grooves and Fintie highlights that in their display on Amazon. Hope this review helps.
