I have only made three candles thus far, but they are three of the most perfect candles I've ever seen. Candle-making is a science with a lot of chances for error, but by following some tutorials and researching my supplies, I managed to successfully pour my first batch of candles using this wax. I heated 5 dry measuring cups worth of wax to 185 degrees, added some colorant, removed from heat, added 1 oz essential oil, and poured my wax at 135 degrees. I filled three 8 oz. mason jars. I also used the following wicks from Amazon: "Low Smoke 210Z Wicks - 6 inch: 8 dozen Wicks," which produced a perfect-sized flame. After 7 straight hours of burning, my candle only went down about one third of the size, and it smelled great! I only let it cure 4 hours before impatiently lighting it and it burned wonderfully. I'm never going back to overpriced store bought candles when making them at home is this cheap and fun!
