When we transitioned my youngest son to a toddler bed, nothing would keep him in his bed! He was a night explorer. He could climb baby gates, and even the traditional advice of sitting in there, not engaging him, but returning him to his bed every single time he got out did not work. We did this for 3 hours, 5 nights in a row! He was miserable because he wasn't getting enough sleep, and we were miserable, because we were soooo frustrated. We tried just shutting the door, but he knows how to open up doors (even with the safety door knob covers! I was looking for some kind of product to use, and I came across this. I'd never seen it in a baby store, but I figured for the price, might as well give it a try. The first night we used it, he fussed for about 10 minutes, wandered around his room for another 10, then gave up and went to bed. The next night, he tried to get out the door once again and then just gave up and went to bed. The third night he didn't even get out of bed. Thank heavens for this product!!! We were losing our minds.
