I've been using this Condor pouch as my SERE (Survive, Evasion, Resistance, Escape) military emergency pouch for almost a year now. I attend monthly drills and emergency scenarios to keep my skills sharpened. Although I've never had to use the pouch in a real emergency, it has endured the abuse, weather and constant open and close that a bag would go through if in a real emergency situation. The zippers are strong and even though I've been caught in the rain it has provided a water proof seal to my items inside. The stitching all around the pouch is extremely durable and has not even began to show the slightest signs of wear. I've already even thrown it into the washer to clean off the debris and mud and it holds its shape very well. The interior compartments are well placed providing a secure grip for all my items. I particularly like the sealed plastic compartment which is where I keep my extra contact lenses case. The snaps are very strong and kinda hard to snap together but that's a clear indication that once on they won't let go. For the price you pay you will not find a better emergency pouch that can endure a rough beating. It comes with the American flag Velcro to the outside and a handy mesh for quick access without having to open the pouch.
