Updated: as expected, slowly improving. Plan to update later. Just upgraded today from the pro 1st gen. At first sight disappointed with some of the lack of included items. One faceplate, although they currently provided a second one of your choice for free with a promo code, so that makes up for that and you can get any color you want from their selections. Also the first pro basically included everything you needed to install out of the box, but with this version pull out your prior version’s screwdriver. The rounded design leaves my wires somewhat exposed in the back vs hidden with the pro 1. Will have to tweak that somehow. The audio is greatly improved and what version 1 should have been. More picture is helpful although On the app it seems to zoom with no option for fit to screen in landscape. The 3D options appears gimmicky to me or at least in need of future firmware/software upgrades to improve it. In a rural area, my location is very grainy looking making it more difficult to use. The motion distance is questionable, seen one poor Customer review on it, but yet to be determined to me. HDR unsure how much this helps at this point. Night vision possible decreased from v1, unsure with out a side by side but it seems like I saw more with v1. Overall, good upgrade due to the larger picture and greatly improved audio. The other features seems unready but possibly with potential to improve with future updates. I would say in its current state it is a poor value for the price, good upgrade but in its current state overpriced. So to summarize my first impression I would say it has two main pros and one minor pros: Mai pros would be the improve audio and Improved video size. With the minor pro being the potential use of the other features. Biggest cons would be the other features appear to need some tweaking via updates. Therefore, currently not the best value to price ratio. Finally, Keep in mind this is only my day 1 with the pro 2, so my opinion could change with more use and setting adjustments.
