We have used this food processor for one month, and we love it. This processor is replacing a 15 year old model and we don't miss the old one at all. Best features, simple to use, just sit bowl on like a blender, then snap the top on. You don't have to align and twist the pieces together. Unlike other models, this one is a breeze to use and occupies a place of honor on our counter top. We have made salsa, quick chopped vegetables for stir-fry, grated cabbage for coleslaw, grated and sliced block cheese using the wide mouth opening, mixed pasta dough, and made the best hash browns by grating potatoes dropped through the large mouth opening at the top. The unit had plenty of power for all tasks. When slicing cheese, the slices were thin and even. About the wide mouth feed tube; You put drop large items in (potatoes, cheese..) and leave about 1/4 at the top for the large black pusher to engage the safety switch. As soon as the safety switch activates, the slicer/grater starts and the large items feed quickly. Simply pull out the pusher, drop in another large item and repeat. The motor has plenty of power to kick start and go to work. Again, the very simple assembly, (snap snap) and easy cleanup have far surpassed my expectations. The bowl is really large, and you don't have to worry about over filling when doing salsa. We ran five whole red potatoes thru for hashbrowns in just a few seconds - had enough for five people. Over the last month I've started using the processor at least once every couple days. It whips up a pasta dough in under three minutes start to finish. (Which we set aside to run thru a pasta roller for fresh pasta in many dishes.). I can quickly make sauces, (like a spanish sauce with cooked fresh veggies you server over chicken....) My only complaint is the cord is short. It seems all new appliances have short cords. This is only an issue when you have several things going on close to the outlets. We very much like this processor and would not hesitate to purchase again.
