My thunder thighs chafe badly when wet so I wanted something longer than boy shorts but still tight enough that they wouldn't ride up. These were perfect. They are just like basic boy shorts, but with a longer 6" inseam. They look like they were made to go with my tankini and rash guard. I'm an 18-20 with a 40" waist and 47" hips, and the 2X fit fine.
