Night and day from other brands! Love it.
I have two menstrual cups in my photos. The pink one is my generic brand cup, the grey one is my saalt cup. I had a hard time selecting a cup due to the lack of information I was able to find about which one would be best for my body type. Here is what I learned:
The pink generic cup has been in use for a month (straight. Birth control am I right?) I bought the large size most companies told me to for being a postpartum (14 months), vaginal birth mother. I have a petite figure, so this pink cup was large and clunky. It was hard to get it to seal because of the stiff rubber, and once it completely flipped upside down because I couldn't get it to fit right (so weird). Speaking of stiff rubber I had to trim the "tail" which would occasionally stab at me and was just flat out uncomfortable and sometimes painful, even after being trimmed. But when it did get a good seal it worked fine minus the occasional leakage. I think most of this was due to the size but the material definitely wasn't my favorite either.
Compare that to the Saalt brand cup (grey) I just started using. The rubber is much more flexible and comfortable. Even the tail is flexible enough I haven't needed to trim it. It flexes and seals easily. I purchased the smaller size meant for pre-pregnancy, 16-18 year olds this time to see if I could get a better seal, and it made all the difference. So far no leakage. The quality is night and day, and I will definitely be using this one from here on out.
I definitely recommend the Saalt brand because of the comfortable material and flexibility. I have also purchased their cup cleaner and it has a lovely orange smell and works great with no residue or irritation.
