I miss carbs
OK, we get it, you're Keto. Or Paleo. Or on Adkins. Life sucks without carbs, and this offers just a little sense of normalcy in a world full of bread and cake. I said a LITTLE bit. The flavor is going to be different than Bisquick, no question. And the recipes will have you using more butter than Julia Child, but if you follow the recipe closely, the result will be waffles and pancakes and biscuits that taste slightly better than pulpy paper. The trick is to put other things on or in these recipes. Cheese baked into biscuits helps a lot. Dipping these already-butter-filled pancakes into more butter also helps. Also, covering anything in honey and fruit and maple syrup helps, but that's not allowed, so just eat some more bacon, dip your "panfake" in butter, and enjoy the fact that you can buy clothes from "normal" stores again. I would crawl over a mile of broken glass for a loaf of bread right now. It's been 5 months, I've had 1 cheat day, I've lost 87 pounds, and I just want anything with carbs in it. I dream about eating fruit. FRUIT! I was 350 pounds, ate EVERYTHING I wanted, and now I have dreams about FRUIT?!?! Where are the dreams about candy bars and cotton candy? Where is my Willy Wonka factory tour dream? Why does Augustus Gloop get to swim in a river of chocolate, and I have fantasies about apple slices?? I'm going to lose my mind if I don't get some sugar pretty soon. Anyway, yeah, this stuff will keep you from going insane, but it won't fill the void left by removing all those amazingly delicious, sweet and bready, oh-so-satisfying carbs. Oh, and there's like 40 pounds of fiber in this 3 pound box, so go ahead and add some TP to your cart before checking out.
