It's about that time of year when our big winter feather down comforter is too hot to sleep under anymore so I decided to try just this blanket on the bed (over the sheets of course) before breaking out my usual spring and summer comforter. It's WONDERFUL! The first thing I did was wash and dry it (though I have to say I didn't notice any terrible smells like I often do with new bedding straight out of the box). It came out of a regular wash/dry cycle looking fabulous and feeling so incredibly soft and thick and fluffy!! Often with this type of thick chunky fleece you'll get a compressed, matted look after washing and drying but so far that hasn't been an issue! The blanket fits great over our queen size bed and actually hangs over the sides sufficiently, just like you want it to! Most queen size comforters don't even do that and we have to buy king to fit our bed. This is sized appropriately (thank you very much!) so you really don't need to upsize unless you want it to hang way over. I love the weight of the blanket. It's warm without being hot and not too heavy on your body so that you feel suffocated. And as a blanket it is OH SO SOFT and squishy!!! I really am loving this and can definitely recommend it!
