This was our first air purifier purchase and we're glad we purchased this. I never believed in such things and thought our central AC unit and its filter would take care of dust and pollen, etc. But lately, I've been waking up everyday with sore throat and stuffy nose. Some days were worse than others. I am seasonally allergic and have history of asthma. Lately, it was getting worse and I was getting worried as to why this was happening. After doing done searching, stumbled upon air purifiers and ionizers. Reading all the reviews I decided to invest in one in hopes it can help solve my daily sore throat and nose issue. I almost went with an ionizer but after finding out how ionizers work, where they charge the dust particles in the air thereby making them stick to one another and making them heavy where they eventually fall to the ground, I decided to go with the air purifier. Im so glad I purchased this! After first day of use, I felt the difference in the morning. I woke up with clear nose and no sore throat wharsoever. Its been a week and I haven't had an issue with stuufy nose and sore throat since then. So I know it works! I bought this model because it was economical and because of its permanent air filter. I didn't initially trust these devices so I didn't want to sink so much money in them. Also the permanent filter will save money in the long run. So far its been working great with no issues. I leave it at the lowest setting when sleeping at night and its has a pleasant white noise which helps me sleep as well. I decided to check filter after one week and it has more dust collected than my central ac does in a week. So I know it works! I have yet to see how long and well the filter lasts. Some have suggested using a charcoal filter and I might do that. Regardless this works wonders and I sleep much better and wake up feeling much more energized. Im very glad I purchased this.
