Going to take some practice....
We received the remote control car today and I did some modifications for what I will be using it for.
I will in the crawl space under the house, si I don’t have go crawling under to check things out..... you see, I’m an old guy, 69 of those 365 so quick days that make up a year..... luckily I’ve got an extra day this month/year being it’s 2020 and getting close to a date that will yield another 4.
Well, this little car is going to take some practice and getting use to the controls. The controls are very sensitive and I need this remote to go real slow so I can get some decent videos of the happenings under this 100 year house that we will be tenants for 50 years come September......
As you can see I added some lights ( you can grab them at harbor freight for a buck each) we thought adding lighting and these are a lot brighter then those light bars you can get on amazon, and those would run off the battery in the car. With extra lights, they have their own power. Do what I did, use Velcro to attach to the car and you can see I’m able to adjust the lights to shooting straight or pointing down a little. I’ll use one point straight and other point down .
Another thing I did was tie a string to the back of the car just in case it gets stuck and I can gently pull on it if need be, did I mention I’m 69 and have crawled under this house couple hundred times over the years.
I wish the car had 4 wheel drive and little less sensitive on the controls but overall with what I need to use it for, seems like it will do what I need it to do.....
I’ll probably give it to a great nephew or niece after my project....... at that age, where if I have seen it, used it or it hangs around.... get rid of it..... after being in the same house almost 50 years, 2 car garage and a guest house, you can imagine the “crap” we have collected......
Anywho...... hope this helps at least 1 person cause it just took 5 minutes of a very limited time I have.....did I tell ya about the old guy that is 69 years old and just around all day..... well, if the wife allows me too.... see ‘ya
