I've pre-ordered the Garmin Foreunner 45s in White. Before I get into the specifics of the watches themselves (I've had the 35, the 235 and some of the vivo and smaller watches thru the years) - I do want to first compliment Garmin customer support and give them an A+ rating. Thru the years when I've had any watch issues, if they can't resolve it they have always replaced the watches. Any difficult technical issues Garmin always has a "go-to" tech rep (i.e. Eric) that can answer the complex question and get you on your way, i.e. "is tennis & pickleball distance tracking as accurate as a pure run etc", or "how do I turn on or off GPS tracking etc. Garmin support rivals best in class Amazon support which you all knows says alot. I have always found Garmin watches more accurate for fitness tracking then say Fitbit. How do I know? Wearing my wifes Fitbit and my Forerunner 35 around the high school track 12 times, my Garmin registered 3.1 miles while my wife's Versa registered almost 4-miles. Needless to say my wife was upset when I told her she over estimated her runing distances but I told her not to blame me I'm just the messenger! I'm excited to get the 45s which will have a slighly smaller profile at 39mm but I know will be big enough for an old guy like me to read it on the fly. Garmin watches with all it's accuracy and durability is making great strides to make their watches more attractive. I will add to this review after receiving my white 45s and give you a run down how it performs not only on the run but during tennis & pickleball matches. Stay tuned.
