With all the camping and visiting we've done over the years, my wife and I have tried out a lot of air mattresses through the years. This is by far the most comfortable we've been on to date. The ribs across the upper surface of the mattress usually devastate her sensitive back, as does any unevenness of having us side by side. This mattess seems to have solved both problems. Not sure how, but I do know it's very comfortable. The height is ideal for getting on and off, and generally contributes to the feel of being on a traditional mattress. We timed the inflation. It was fully inflated at 2.5 minutes with the built-in pump. Deflation using the pump took 3 minutes and at the end, there were no air pockets that we could find. Fold up and storage in the bag provided it simple and quick. We also tested inflating it with a hand-held exterior pump we have. It was just as quick and effective, once I realize that the switch for the built-in pump needed to be positioned to inflate to allow the air in. This mattress holds air very well, although most do at first, so we'll be watching to see if over time there are any leaks developing and update the review if so.
