This thing does exactly what I wanted it to do! Made some lifestyle changes, needed a way to cook lean meats and carry them to work daily,but am not a fan of baked protein. I prefer meats done on charcoal grills, but who has time for the prep and cleanup every 4 days? I've now had this 4 weeks have done tons of chicken, ribeye, new york strip, tilapia and burgers(add a bit of liquid smoke)...the guide for cooking times that comes with is helpful as a baseline, but similar to how an oven varies from house to house, you'll soon figure out what works for you. Cleaning has not been an issue, I wipe it down fairly immediately, and I never use our dishwasher, I use a gentle brush in warm soapy water and it cleans pretty easy. It does produce a LOT of smoke!!...so I now place it underneath the stove exhaust. My model has the window which is a nice feature, but I don't use it. It's lightweight, but seems sturdy. I guess I should mention that the food cooked on this thing tastes great!!! My strong preference is for items cooked on a charcoal grill and open flame, this is not that but I would liken the taste quite similar to what you outdoor gas grillers produce...and for the convenience, I'll take it! I've not used a Foreman in 10+ years so I imagine the latter generation models have improved, but I don't see how one can compare to this machine...its a home run
