PERFECT for Uber. Keeps you riding in cool comfort.
OK, wow. Just, wow. I love this thing. I drive Uber. In the South. In the Summer. It's been 105 every day. My van's AC is on max, but w the insanely high humidity levels, and my leather seats, I was sweating constantly. I needed something to get my back and legs directly off the leather, something to create some space and allow some airflow. I was looking at everything from bamboo seat covers to ergonomic pads, etc. Nothing really looked that useful, and it was all around $20 or more. Then I found this.
It's only $35 and it beats the crap out of everything else I looked at.
Installs in 3minutes. Lay the headrest strap over your headrest, tuck the little tabs in the rear seat crevice, twist them so they hold flat against the seat. Use the hooked straps on the front to hook under the front of your seat (they stretch, so if they don't hold on the very front, pull them over more to the side or farther under the seat and find a spot they will hook onto well), plug it in, turn it on, and relax.
FYI: The fan blows air that is the temperature of the air in front of the fan, which hangs down in front of your seat. Seems like most people would realize this, bc it's a fairly basic simple concept, but I have seen negative comments dinging this bc they are driving a car w no AC and expecting this to be an air conditioning seat cover. Um, no. This thing works wonderfully well when used as it is designed to be used. If you sweat even when your AC is on, this will help solve that problem. If you live in an area with insane humidity, this will keep you from noticing, at least while you are driving.
I sometimes forget to turn it on, but I remember quickly when I start dripping a few minutes after getting into my car. When I turn it on I can immediately feel the air blowing thru all the holes in the seat and back. It is so, so very nice. There is a very noticeable difference between Lo and Hi settings, and I usually just keep it on Lo simply bc Lo works very well. If I am extra hot or drippy, I go to Hi for a few minutes, and voila! Problem solved. There is of course some fan noise, though you barely notice it even on High. The air that is blowing onto my legs and back is very much cooler than my body temp, and cools me off very fast, even if I get in already drenched and dripping. Gross I know, but hey, trying to be helpfully descriptive here ;p
You can't beat the price either. This thing is comfortable & works perfectly as advertised and described. And for $35 it's a steal imo. Especially compared to the $150 version I saw on here when shopping. Geez. There is also a version of this exact seat by the same company that comes in a 2-pack for $55ish, which is a nice extra savings for these things. Especially since in my opinion, one of these is well worth $50. I would have gladly paid that much for one, it just improved my comfort level that much. So worth it. I actually wish I had gotten the 2pack now that I know just how nice and awesome these are.
Anyhoo, I paid for this with my own $$. I did NOT receive any discount on these for any reason, and I hate seeing all the glowing biased reviews of people who got things for free. Sure, your opinion is your own, but you probably can't help but feel a little obligated to give a good review, especially when people are throwing free stuff at you for doing it. I bought this, and I love it. Your mileage may vary. Hope this helps.
