Couple of tweaks makes it quite functional.
It's a pretty ingenious idea that could use a couple of design improvements but with a little help, it's become a really addicting way for me to spend time outside with both hands on the computer (and not slapping insects).
Setup is pretty basic, I slightly opened the umbrella to give the screen something to hug while I'm installing it. I pulled the pull string tight so I could make out the top opening. Pretty quickly you can see the shape unfold. I used a 9ft umbrella and the screen goes just barely to the end on top, I think the picture they show at the top of the page is using a smaller umbrella.
There is a zipper that allows people in or out that seems like it's not going to last the summer but so far it has worked without getting stuck.
The solution of not being able to keep the screen on when the umbrella is down is solved by ordinary clasps of any kind. I posted a picture of the kitchen one I used. If you get nice looking ones or unassuming ones you can just put them on the end of each section of umbrella and it's flawless, this system will even work with water in the base. The screen is light weight and effective at keeping out vermin!
