I'll temper this with the fact that I've not ever had one of the super expensive brand name luggage sets. However, that said, I have good impressions for this set. It was packaged well when it arrived. The material seems to be of good quality. tough, but with enough give that I don't think it will crack if it lands on the track the wrong way unless the bag is loaded down with extremely heavy stuff. Both the bags I took with me (The carryon size and the largest of the other two) did not show any signs of damage at all from the trip and airline handling. I will say that I couldn't tell in the pictures that there is quite a bumpy texture to the bags. I had planned to stick a few small vinyl decals to them to make my bags a little more obvious to spot on the carousel. If you plan to do something similar you will definitely need to use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the vinyls and use either your finger (carefully) or a foam roller to get them to adhere to the texture well. I did this and they held on like a champ. The wheels are smooth and despite being small (to my opinion anyway) they handle bumps pretty well. None of the casters got stuck rotating and all rolled and changed direction well. The zippers seem to be of good quality and have yet to show any signs of fraying or anything else. The ones inside even held up to me abusing them a bit by overstuffing one side a little on my return trip. The locks were easy to set up and no trouble on my trip from the TSA despite one of my bags being searched. The zippers clip firmly into the locks. Overall these seem like awesome luggage to me, and substantially cheaper than any of the name brand sets (and cheaper than even some name brand single pieces) Someone who travels a lot may have a different opinion and more baggage experience. I don't travel a whole ton though (at least not by plane) so I'm sure they'll last me a very, very long time.
