I’m a watch freak. I have owned a Seiko Seiko SKX007, Vintage Citizen automatic, Citizen Nighthawk, currently own a 1968 Seiko original turtle 6306 and many other automatic, hand wind, quartz and eco drive movements. My point is, I know and love watches. I bought this to be my every day do everything watch. I am in the military, am in water regularly, hike, backpack, camp, you name it. The good: eco drive is the best quartz for those who want zero maintenance for a very long time, and never want a battery to fail. Quartz is more accurate than any automatic available on the market, and hands down more durable. If you’re like me and take it in the water regularly, you may still want to refresh the gaskets every 5 years or so. Looks great, feels great on my 7.25 wrist. Screw down crown feels smooth as butter. Bezel action is perfect. Lume does the job and has citizens gorgeous tint of blue green. For 141 bucks there is no better value for accuracy, long term reliability, quality build, durability, functionality and looks. It’s THE tool watch to get for the perfect EDC watch. Cons: as always with Citizen, mineral crystal is prone to scratching. Mine has no scratches yet but I’m ready. This doesn’t bother me as its my beater and I know what I’m getting in to. I will upgrade to a double domed AR coated sapphire crystal when I change the seals in 5 to 10 years unless I completely trash the crystal, then I’ll upgrade then. Spring bars/rubber strap: it “clicks” when you bend the strap around, kind of strange but only clicks when articulating the rubber strap way past normal wear angles. I believe it’s the spring bars but not 100%. The strap itself looks good and is more comfortable than my Seiko SKX stock strap. The ND limits chart on the strap is whatever. Kind of cheesy in my personal opinion. I’m going to look for an aftermarket rubber strap, but I am aiming to turn this into the absolute perfect watch for myself. The rubber strap will be perfect for 99 percent of buyers. Bottom line: if you think you might like the watch, you’ll love it.
