These are premium quality sheets. I tried what one user suggested and washed them with baking soda and then detergent and they lost any factory smell. They are nice and soft for cotton sheets and don't wrinkle any more than other cotton sheets do. The trick is to take them out of the drier promptly and smooth them out by hand. The pockets are 15 inches deep, as advertised, which is what I needed. They are substantial and definitely feel like hotel sheets. I got some for my daughter too.
