Purchase this monitor for our second baby. For our first we are still using the nest cam, and while the picture quality is great, because of Wi-Fi connection it times out every single night. That’s not as much of a problem with the two-year-old, but I can’t have that happening with our newborn. Purchase this based on other mom recommendations and the positive reviews. This was the easiest thing to set up and picture quality is excellent. Our babies room is literally as far away as possible from my bedroom and signal reaches no problem (split floor plan ranch style house with lots of walls between). I’m considering a second camera for my 2 yr old bc I like it so much. I had a cheaper camera prior to the Nest and it was awful too. If you’re having issues with this camera I’d suggest calling the company bc maybe you have a lemon. Mine works exactly as it should.
