Gets their attention
We just rescued our girl Mille from a local shelter here. Absolutely fantastic dog. After having her for about a week, she decided to start jumping our fence to go say "hi" to all the other neighbourhood dogs and people lol. Of course it isn't safe so we decided to try this Petrainer. IT WORKED! I swear we only had to zap her a couple times and she got the picture. She never once yelped or cried or acted like it was painful. My husband and I both tried it on ourselves before using it on her and it gets your attention obviously but it doesn't hurt. It feels like a static shock. There are multiple settings on it. Noise, vibrate, and shock. They all have settings that range from 1-100. On Mille we never went over 50 but she is a smaller ( 25-30 lb) dog. You may need to go higher on the larger breeds. We have used the Vibrate mode for behaviour training, like jumping and to come mainly. Worked perfectly. I would recommend this to anyone with a stubborn dog like mine. I don't feel that this is a cruel form of training at all. I know some question it. My thing is when their safety is at risk you have to resort to other things. I didn't want Mille to get hit by a car or attacked by another dog that didn't want her in their yard. I had no other option. Mille goes for 3 walks a day and the dog park at least every other day. Very well exercised but she just couldn't resist jumping. Now she can though, she knows its not worth it. Anyway, the collar is great. great material and she is comfortable wearing it. It comes with different size prongs for different sized dogs and a charging cable ( which we only have to charge every couple days and just do it over the night when we do). All in all its perfect :) If you have found my review helpful please click "yes". Thank you!!
