I've seen a few negative reviews of this bed frame, and can't figure out why. It is heavy grade steel and very well engineered. The directions for assembly are idiot proof. I didn't really need to even look at the directions, but did so anyway. Everything fit together well. It was one of the easiest setups that I've ever done. It is mentioned in the directions that you have to match up the numbers for everything to fit together. Duh, no confusion there. The slats do seem a bit flimsy, but are more than adequate for support. Some more expensive bed frames that I have seen used a little heavier wood, but there were far fewer slats. This has enough slats that a Sumo wrestler couldn't make a mattress sag! I noted that some people said that there wasn't a support post for the middle bar. It doesn't show up on the pictures, but it definitely has a support post in the middle of it. This bed frame is built to last. Also, there is no noise associated with it. I weigh two hundred pounds and am a restless sleeper. I assure you that I didn't wake up my wife during the night. I need firm support due to a bad back, and this frame gives it. I am thrilled with the purchase. I replaced a wooden platform that I built out of wood. Tucking in the sheets was a pain , so I opted for this metal frame. It makes everything easier. I highly recommend this frame.
