Based on James S.A Corey 8, soon to be 9 books plus many novellas, the source material is rich and deep. It is also a period of the future rarely explored by SciFi. Usually we go from present day to FTL and all kinds of magic instead of a familiar Universe with the same rules and the same humans only more Expanded into the Solar System. Plus all the story locations are actual places we just started to explore, like Ceres and Ganymede! Gorgeous Special Effects and impecable production values..and now they are part of Amazon and it's resources. more reason to trust that they will see this story to it culmination ! And if you read the books, then you know you are in for something special ! Cannot wait any longer for Season 4. In my personal, humble opinion, the best SciFi show ever.
